Father of the year

So someone I know showed his 8 yr old son a 30 min (debatable about the actual length) clip of Nightmare on Elm St. Then taunted him for a week with singing the 1,2 Freddy's coming to get you song... And now the poor kid can not get to sleep is crying when he has to go to bed and to anyone he can get on the phone to talk to. This was all to "toughen him up". It's a sad society in which to make you feel better about yourself you have to damage your young child to make him "be tough and act like a man". Why can't children be children and not have things like this take place :(
